After a fairytale two seasons for the Glenavy women the winter gives the girls an opportunity to go back to basics and build in what they have achieved in their first 3 years as a club.
The incredible turn out at the NIWFA awards demonstrated the team spirit we have and the individual awards also confirmed the talent we possess and now we feel it is time to get everyone up to that level.
Last season brought great success but it also came at a cost in terms of injury and tight close games did not allow for much rotation so this winter training period is essential to get the whole group up to match pace.
The training programme will be a behind closed doors affair with no friendlies or futsol with the impetuous being on team building and personal development.
As always Crewe opens its doors to any girls wanting to get involved in football and we have the staff and facilities to accommodate and develop them. We pride ourselves on good values here and professionalism is key to what we are trying to achieve as a club across all our teams.
Any success this year for us will be measured on how many of us our still standing at the end of the year and building our ladies team is always the main goal.
First session is Wednesday 14th of November 7pm at Crewe Park.
