⚽🔴⚪2019s & 2020s⚪🔴⚽

It was a lively morning of football down at Laurelhill, even with the rain coming down. Both the 2019 and 2020 sides played with plenty of energy, and the wet pitch made for some unpredictable moments. The goals came quickly at both ends, keeping everyone entertained throughout. In the end, it wasn’t about the scoreline - it was the effort, good spirit, and plenty of goals that made it a memorable morning of Football.

🔴⚪️Crewe 2015 jets v Craigavon city chiefs

In absolutely horrible conditions with the rain pouring down the entire game these boys were outstanding. Did not phase them at all.
Game was very tight first half with not much of a flow to the game. Was all square at half time. The 2nd half tho the boys really stepped up a gear or 2 and went 1 nil up through Ryan v with striker like finish into the bottom corner. Shortly after that we got our 2nd. Craigavon got one back through a top corner finish. The response from that goal pushed these boys on even more and ended up with the 4 1 win. Adam scored a lovely goal beating the offside trap like a master. Super performance from all the players. Ryan v got 2 Goals and Adam got the other 2.
Potw this week was harley who played a complete new position for the first time at rb and was outstanding in what he did.
Hard work is really starting to pay off for these players and its amazing to see.

Match Report – 2016s Juniors

The 2016 Juniors were in action on Saturday and put in another excellent performance. Although the final score was 3–1, the boys can hold their heads high as we were the better team throughout the game.

The effort, teamwork, and determination were clear to see, with plenty of good football played across the pitch. Special mention goes to Owen, who was named Man of the Match. He was superb from start to finish – his skill and composure down the line stood out, and his brilliant pass set up Darragh perfectly for our goal.

Plenty of positives to take away and a strong foundation to build on. We’ll get back to training this week and keep working hard to make sure the performances keep improving.

Well done, lads!

🔴⚪ Match Report 🔴⚪
2015/16 girls v Lisburn Ladies

First v second in today's much anticipated top of table clash as both teams up to now were both undefeated faced off against each other.

As the game started the Crewe girls were hesitant coming out of the blocks which allowed LL to get a straggle hold of the game and after some brilliant football LL found themselves a few goals in front with Aoife J trying her best to keep the score line down, Aine and Roise in defence were solid and protected their backline well throughout the first half. Captain Meghan Ran her legs off with a determination to help her defense and attack simultaneously Megan, Ella, Talia, Lydia showed how to effectively attack the LL defenders and allow our attacking threat in Izzy to showcase their amazing skill set.

On another day we would have scored a couple more goals but the last ditch defending and Goalkeeping from Lisburn was top class.

The goals today were superbly finished off by Aoife J and Izzy who both scored two absolutely fantastic goals both goals from different variants of football with Izzy scoring a wonder free kick and Aoife scoring her first goal from a tight angle.

The girls have a great account of themselves today and deserved so much more from today's game but it was very much a learning curve and one we will improve from.

Today POTM ELLA

Ella was excellent throughout the game and gave account of herself. Great game from Ella

Well done girls

On we go to the next game.

2014/15 Girls v Dunmurry Youth

Today the girls faced Dunmurry Youth with the intention of continuing their superb start to the season and didn't they just with a very commanding performance that put Dunmurry away, even if the overall performance wasn't one of the girls'best.

The game itself started off quite cagey with both teams struggling to get the ball down and finding their passing game. After a few minutes the girls found their groove with Talia, Laila, Maddie and Aoife all working tirelessly to try and make the break through which eventually did come Talia chased a lost cause with support from Maddie the girls forced a corner kick, up stepped Aoife who pinged a ball low and hard towards the keeper and somehow ended up in the net 1-nil.

The game however was quite scrappy but as the game played on our defenders Bella, Isla, Abbie with Cadhla Ros in goals all defending resolutely and keeping Dunmurry at Bay, Hannah Rose playing a more defensive midfielder role marshalled the midfield well and won a lot of her 121 battles which was good to see from HR.

Not to let the first half fizzle out Izzy was introduced and played a sumptuous ball through to Aoife who expertly finished to send the girls deservedly 2 up.

As the half time whistle came, this HT talk was around being more confident on the ball and taking players on in their 121 battles.

The girls came out like a steam train with Amirah and Roise introduced and both girls added good positive energy this allowed the girls to attack on mass and should have added more goals earlier in the second half but unfortunately Dunmurrys keeper was having a fantastic game and kept the goal at Bay, this was until Izzy who seems.to be having a goal of the season competition with herself unleashed a worldie into the top bins to make it 3.

The girls were awarded a penalty which was dispatched beautifully by Laila to put the game to bed.

The girls today won even though they know they probably performed below their normal high levels but we'll take the W and learn from it.

Today's POTM Bella who led her defense to another clean sheet and was absolutely rock solid.

Well deserved Bella and the team as a whole to come away with a clean sheet and a win.

🔴⚪️ Crewe 2015 Juniors vs Hillsborough Colts 🔴⚪️

Another early start for the boys in the Lisburn Castlereagh Junior league.

The boys started well with Luke G putting us ahead early on. The boys then took the foot off the gas and let H'boro into the game. They levelled the game up after some defensive errors from our midfield and defence.

The boys were told to play their own game at half time break.

Again, started the half sharply and Ryan continued his great scoring form with a lovely timed run and a 1v1 finish.

Yet again the boys then stopped and let a determined H'boro team back into the game with a catalogue of errors. A 2-2 draw in the end.

At full time the boys knew they hadn't been up for the game. Hopefully they learn from this game.

Thanks to our sponsors Carnbrooke Meats for all their support.

⚽🔴⚪2018 Girls⚪🔴⚽

What a morning of football from the girls. Every single one of them played fantastic football, some great passing, tackling and dribbling on display and goals galore.

Niamh is really becoming a fantastic defender, winning her tackles and playing the ball forward to her team mates.
Phoebe was excellent in nets and also helped her team mates out when playing outfield
Sofia loves a tackle, never afraid to get wired in and showed some great dribbling skills
Mollie has come on so much this season and I was delighted to see her grab a great goal
Fiona made it look so easy at times, gliding through the opposition at will
Harper has the skills to pay the bills, such a natural gifted footballer scoring go's for fun
Duibheasa just seems to love playing football, always plays with a smile which I love to see.
Cora was our POTW only new to our team this year she is a joy to have in the team. Happy to play anywhere on the pitch and showing great improvements already.

I love watching these girls play football, always playing with a smile on their face. The way it should be at this age. These girls will hopefully continue to grow and progress as a great team over the next few years ⚽🔴⚪

🔴⚪️Crewe 2017 Girls match report 🔴⚪️

1st game: Lisburn Rangers
2nd game: Hillsborough
3rd game: Lisburn ladies
4th game: Carryduff

Tough morning at brook for our 2017 girls team but they held their own and did themselves proud.

Mollie and Evie were our defenders! They made sure any ball coming towards our net got delivered back up the pitch, all whilst showing great team work!

Sophia and Fiona knew their role in midfield. They didn't shy away from getting stuck in and fought for every ball. 💪

Harper was the smallest player on the pitch but that didn't stop her scoring left, right and centre.

My POTM was Hollie! Hollie was our keeper and after telling me she didn’t want to nets she really put on a brave display saving every shot that came her way! Well Done Hollie 👏

I am extremely proud of the girls and cannot wait for for matches this season ❤️🤍
