⚽️🔴Crewe Boys 2019’s🔴⚽️
Crewe 2019s were back with a bang on Saturday in the Lisburn League. The rain didn’t put the players off who had their usual big smiles and plenty goals to be proud of as well ⚽️⚽️ A local Crewe v Crewe derby as well to behold! Thanks to the families for coming out to support despite the weather ☔️
🔴⚪️⚽️ Crewe 2015 Juniors vs Loughgall 🔴⚪️⚽️
Our boys had a later kick-off today in the Lisburn Castlereagh Junior League and, in very tough conditions, faced a determined Loughgall side.
Crewe started brightly, trying to play passing football despite the difficult pitch. Jacob, Cillian S and Luke linked up well in midfield, looking to release Ryan and the ever-determined Lewis up front.
Chances were limited in the
first half for both teams, with Terry, Michael and Luke T putting in excellent defensive performances to shut down almost every Loughgall attack. When called upon, Padraig was calm and assured between the sticks.
The boys came out firing in the second half and almost took the lead with their very first attack, Lewis going close after a great team move. Ryan continued to be a real thorn in Loughgall’s side, while Culann kept their defence constantly on their toes. Cillian B was outstanding in midfield, winning some crucial tackles.
Jacob was pulling the strings with a series of excellent through balls, while Lakes and the defence remained solid and composed. Jacob’s corners caused problem after problem, creating chance after chance.
Finally, after another sensational delivery, Cillian S showed great bravery at the back post to bundle the ball home — a goal that proved to be the match winner. ⚽️👏
Any of the boys could have taken Man of the Match today after such a strong team performance, but Jacob just edged it with an outstanding display.
⭐ Man of the Match: Jacob ⭐
Well done, Jacob — keep it up! 🙌🏻
A big thank you to our sponsors Fosters Tyres and Olympic Lifts for their continued support.
Thanks also to Pizza Co. Lisburn for the Player of the Match vouchers and CT Gaelic Coaching for the Player of the Match trophy.

🔴⚪ Match Report 🔴⚪
2014/15 v Newcastle 2013
A game against familiar opposition and a team that seems to have a voodoo over us, the aim for the girls today was to right a few wrongs and end this voodoo against this team.
The challenge was set upon the girls and the pre match instructions were to try their best, give maximum effort and not to be intimidated, a challenge that they thoroughly met head on and surpassed.
As the game started the girls started off brilliantly, chasing in packs and hunting down the opposition - their intentions were made clear today with Bella, Lk and Abbie crunching into tackles and not letting Newcastle's danger players get a second to think.
Isla at the back was as ever, composed on the ball and played some lovely forward passes.
Izzy, Maddie, Aoife and Talia all played some brilliant football with nice interconnecting passes and superb foot work which bedazzled their defensive counterparts today.
Maddie and Aoife especially looked dangerous each time they had the ball with Izzy playing some through balls to Talia who was non stop action.
Cadhla Ros in the first half was untroubled thanks to the amazing efforts from her teammates.
As the half drew to a close the girls were buzzing for the second half to start and a few changes were made with Roise and Amirah being introduced and like the others both girls contributed massively Amirah - showing her brilliant hold up play and ability to take the ball and feed her midfielders with nice short sharp passes.
Roise added her fantastic sweeper skills to the team and intercepted some long forward passes played by Newcastle and was able to find some nice forward passes to Maddie who was able to get attacks started down the right.
As the game went on the girls were peppering the opposition goal but just couldn't find the killer touch, with Abbie trying her luck from 20 yards out with drew a smart save from their keeper - a great effort nevertheless.
In the last 10 minutes the girls had multiple chances to score the winner with, Izzy, Aoife, Maddie and Amirah all coming close to no avail and as such the game would finish nil all.
A scoreline which doesn't reflect the dominance that the girls put on show today - deserved the win but we'll take away all the positives from today.
Today's POTM - Bella, genuinely could have gone to each player but a job was asked to be carried out today and Bella carried this out like a pro and to the very detail asked from her and absolutely rock solid performance.
What a performance from start to finish.
🔴⚽️2012 Boys🔴⚽️
Our 2012’s enjoyed their first competitive game under the lights at George Smith Park at Crewe Park tonight.
Well done boys cracking second half, some of the football was outstanding at times and the effort you all put it to come back from 3-1 down to be leading 4-3 was amazing. Unlucky conceding right at the end to make it 4-4 but what a team performance by everyone.
First match in over a month, as expected we were a bit rusty, but as the game went on we got better and better. Jack made a couple of good saves to keep us in it and Lucas and Matthew were solid at the back with new signing Skyler playing his first game in midfield showed what he can bring to the team, well done Skyler.
MOTM was split between 2 boys, Big Cody and Riley. I knew from the start Cody was up for the game, Leading by example as captains do. Strong in his tackles and some brilliant runs from the back setting up chances for the strikers, and nearly scoring a wonder goal himself. Well done Cody great game💪💪 and Riley, the runs he makes are class, his work ethic is outstanding never gives up and is a constant threat. Got his reward with a couple of goals and only for their keeper could have had a couple more. Well done Riley brilliant wee man💪💪⚽️⚽️

Crewe 2015/16 Girls v Camlough
Lisburn League Shield Final
On a chilly winter morning at Knockramer Park our girls faced a tough game in their first ever final and a first of two Finals for the Girls Teams within the Crewe Academy.
As the pre match prep began our girls were obviously nervous but this settled very quickly once the whistle blew - as the girls were dominant early on with lots of early possession and plenty of chances. However these early chances were being dealt with by an outstanding Camlough goalkeeper and her fellow defensive players.
Our girls kept knocking at the door and eventually it was smashed open when they were awarded a free kick about 30 yards away from the Camlough goal, up stepped the ever reliable Izzy who hit an absolute rocket and the ball flew into the top corner leaving the keeper with no other option to pick it out from her net. Bang 1 up and a deserved lead for our little warriors.
Our team talk was about tidying up our passing and holding our positions a little better as we knew Camlough would come out all guns blazing and so this proved - Camlough had the majority of the ball early on and peppered our goal with chances only to be dealt with by Cadhla Ros who was steady as a rock.
But like us in the first half persistence would pay off and the equaliser eventually came and it was very much deserved, this led to a frantic finish with the girls holding on to a draw and bringing the game to Penalties.
This is where the real drama started with the 5 brave girls volunteering to hit one of the dreaded pens and as it turned out each of the five were called upon with the girls coming out 3-2 winners and getting their hands on the winners shield with Skipper Aíne, lifting the girls their first ever Lisburn League trophy for the Crewe United girls youth teams, history books will remember this 😂.
The referee nominated Cadhla Ros as the POTM to cap off two amazing penalty shoot out wins during this cup run.
These girls today, showed great heart, desire and determination not to lose this game.
Best wishes to Camlough as this was a really good game of football played in the right spirit.
Huge thanks to our sponsors H&J Martin for the continuous and unwavering support for our girls team.
What a way to end the year..
🔴⚪️ Crewe 2015 Colts vs Lisdrum Youth 2015 Colts 🔴⚪️
Runners up in LCJL Shield Final
A big achievement for our 2015 Colts playing in the LCJL shield final which was a real competive match against Lisdrum Youth Colts.
The boys showed great spirit and determinaton throughout the game. 1st half was end to end, despite going 2 goals down the boys kept their heads up.
2nd half the Colts reset and came out with passion and fight. After conceding another goal we bounced back and scored with 15 mins to go. The boys battled and gave their all, having more grip of the game and chances, though it wasnt to be on the day.
A fantastic team performance to be proud of.
Well done players and coaches🔴⚪️⚽️
A big thank you to our sponsors Fosters Tyres and Olympic Lifts for their continued support.
