🔴⚪️ 2018 girls

The 2018 girls put in a fantastic team performance in what was exciting and competitive matches from start to finish.

From the first whistle, Sofia showed great determination up front working tirelessly to win the ball and drive the team forward. Mollie was solid in midfield reading the game well and claiming a few goals. Phoebe added energy down the wing, using her pace to create space and deliver some excellent passes into the attacking area.

Cora played a key role in linking defence and attack, showing great awareness and composure on the ball. Saorlaith worked hard throughout, supporting her teammates and never giving up on any play, while Duibheasa showed excellent skill and confidence, taking on players and helping to push the team forward.

Niamh was outstanding in goal and defence making several brilliant saves, showing great bravery and focus under pressure.

Overall, it was a strong team performance with great effort, teamwork, and positive attitudes from all the girls. They supported each other well, communicated effectively, and should be very proud of how they played.

Player of the week this week went to Sofia for her persistent determination to win the ball.

On a chilly Sunday morning that would make most people want to stay wrapped up indoors, our 2017 girls stepped onto the pitch with nothing but determination, teamwork, and pure grit. Despite the cold biting at their fingers and toes, they threw themselves into every challenge, every pass, and every run. Across the round‑robin fixtures, the girls showed incredible energy and spirit. ❤️🤍

⚽️ Player Highlights

⭐️ JessicaJessica had a standout performance, controlling the centre of the pitch and topping it off with a brilliant goal. She read the play beautifully, linked passes with confidence, and showed exactly why she’s such an important part of the team.

⭐️ SadieIn goal, Sadie was absolutely unstoppable. Every shot that came her way was met with calm hands, sharp reflexes, and total focus. Not a single ball got past her—an incredible clean‑sheet effort on a cold morning!

⭐️ FionaNo ball was ever truly “lost” when Fiona was nearby. She fought for every challenge, pressed hard, and made life difficult for the opposition all game. Her bravery and hustle were outstanding.

⭐️ EvieEvie gave 110% from the first whistle to the last. Whether she was tracking back, pushing forward, or supporting her teammates, her determination never dipped. Her energy lifted the whole team.

⭐️ OliviaOlivia found the back of the net with confidence and composure, turning defence into attack in seconds. Her goal gave the whole squad a huge boost and showed off her natural attacking instincts.

⭐️ Eva RoseEva Rose was absolutely outstanding today. She seemed to be everywhere at once—dropping back to defend, racing forward to support attacks, and filling every gap in between. Whether it was tackling, passing, or driving the team up the pitch, she did it all.

🏆 Player of the Match: Hollie
After taking some time away from playing, Hollie stepped back onto the pitch full of energy, enthusiasm, and a big smile that lifted the whole team. Her positivity was incredible—she encouraged her teammates, stayed focused, and played with a confidence that showed she’s truly ready to be back. Hollie’s hard work, attitude, and love for the game made her a standout across the round‑robin. We’re so happy to have her back!

Well done, girls! Despite the cold morning, you showed amazing teamwork, energy, and determination throughout every game in the round robin. The way you supported each other, worked together, and kept smiling made it such a proud day for the whole team. Keep believing in yourselves and in one another—great things happen when you play as a team. Fantastic effort from everyone! ❤️🤍

🔴⚪️Crewe Girls v St Malachys Girls

Today saw us take part in our final league game of the season knowing a win would wrap up the league and give the girls confidence moving into our Cup Final in a few weeks time.

The message was simple, keep doing what you have been doing all season and win your individual battles.

Well today the girls put on a show. The football played at times was a joy to watch, playing out from the goalkeeper to our defenders, into the midfield where at times the one and two touch passing had the opposition bamboozled and set our forward players free to do their thing.
In goals Cadhla Ros kept her focus and done what was needed when called upon. Calm on the ball and distribution was great. Our defence of Roise Abbie Isla and Bella were as usual solid, strong in the tackle, comfortable on the ball and covered each other well.
In midfield Hannah Rose, LK and Izzy combined well and helped out both in attack and in defence. Some fantastic work rate in there to help out teammates and also showing quality on the ball.
Up front, the ruthlessness was frightening today. Talia Maddie and Aoife just want goals and are determined to win every battle and every ball in order to get their goals. The girls can all play in a variety of positions and be just as dangerous wherever they play.

Player of the week was easy, Aoife was a terror today and at times had my head in a spin. Always wanted the ball and taking on her marker at every opportunity. But her biggest quality is her determination to win the ball back as soon as she loses it.

An absolutely outstanding season from the girls most of who are playing one or two years above their own age and not fazed in the slightest. They just love playing football and always smiling, celebrating each other's successes and picking each other up when needs be. A joy to be part of this amazing team.

Well done Champs ⚽️🏆
