One of the hardest parts of being a coach at Crewe United Academy… picking Player of the Match! ⚽️
With so many talented, committed players across our Academy, it certainly keeps our coaches on their toes — watching closely for that moment of magic, a quality goal, a brave tackle, or a real stand-out performance.
But no matter who takes home Player of the Match, what matters most is seeing smiles on faces and watching our boys and girls develop week after week.
Keep working hard.
Keep listening to your coaches.
Keep enjoying your football. 👏

🔴⚪ Match Report 🔴⚪
Crewe girls 2015 vs Ballyclare 2015 girls
Another game and another victory, this time with a bit more work and grit required.
The girls at times showed what kind of level they're at and how good a team they are within the first 10 minutes of today match, working out the back, some slick passing sequences, resulting in either a shot or a goal. They also showed that when the tide turns, how well they have each other's backs and how they fight for each other when under continuous pressure.
With the Six Nations being played at the minute, the irony of Aoife's 3 goals wasn't lost on the coaches or the crowds. With her hard battling and composure with each little touch of the ball, Aoife made sure that, bit by bit, that ball crossed the opponents goalline. And Maddies solo goal, bringing the ball out and with a tight angle and a fierce spot, the ball ended up in the far corner of the opponents net.
POTM went to Aoife today, not only for claiming a hat trick, but as usual, her never say die attitude was on full display, with great tackling and her mazy runs up the wings linking up with her teammates continually and successfully. Congratulations Aoife.
A quick update round-up of all our teams who proudly represented Crewe United FC Academy today! 🔴⚽️

🔴⚪️15.02.26 2018 Girls 🔴⚪️
The 2018 Girls delivered a fantastic team performance last weekend, showcasing just how much they’ve grown together this season. From the opening whistle, the girls demonstrated excellent passing, consistently moving the ball with confidence and purpose. Their spacing and teamwork allowed them to control the tempo of the game and create multiple scoring opportunities.
Communication was a standout strength throughout the match. The players were constantly talking—calling for the ball, supporting one another, and encouraging their teammates. Their listening skills were equally impressive, as they quickly applied instructions and adjusted their positioning both offensively and defensively.
The hard work paid off with some great goals. Harper opened the scoring with a strong finish after a well-worked passing sequence. Sofia followed with a confident strike, capitalizing on a great assist from her team mates. Duibhasa added her name to the scoresheet with a determined effort in front of the goal. Mollie showed lots of energy in midfield and grew into the games as they went on.
Niamh and Phoebe worked well together on the backline making life easy for the goal keeper.
Our player of the week went to Phoebe.
Overall, it was a complete team effort. The girls showed aggression and desire to win the ball and confidence when they had thought the game.
The girls should be proud of their passing, communication, and positive attitudes.
Keep up the great work, 2018 Girls! ⚽
🔴⚪️ 2019 Jets🔴⚪️
Terrific outing from the Jets this morning down at Laurelhill.
Caoltan was Mr versatile playing defence and attack across all the games. He cut out some dangerous attacks and scored some lovely goals at the other end.
Harrison was a menace upfront today using his strength 💪🏻 to fend off the opposition and produced some lovely finishes also ⚽️
James got himself on the scoresheet today and did well to track back the runners that the opposition put forward.
Player of the match went to Charlie - he marshalled that back line brilliantly and made some huge interceptions ⛔️ to keep his team in some close games.
Well done guys and thank you to the parents for their support today 🔴⚪️🙌🏻
🔴⚪️ 2018 Tigers 🐅 🔴⚪️
At the back, Cormac was outstanding. His improvement this year has been remarkable, and his performance reflected that progress. He showed real composure on the ball, consistently making the right decisions and staying calm under pressure.
In midfield, Thomas was the engine that kept the team moving. His energy and work rate were exceptional as he covered every blade of grass, driving the team forward and turning defence into attack with relentless effort.
Up front, Hunter proved to be a constant goal threat and delivered when it mattered most, scoring vital goals in every match.
Frankie was also superb in front of goal, showing great composure and taking all his chances confidently. Beyond his attacking contributions, he worked tirelessly up and down the pitch and made important defensive contributions.
Connor was deservedly named Man of the Match. Commanding at the back, he swept up danger with authority and helped launch attacks from defence, putting in a performance reminiscent of a young Franco Baresi.
Well done boys, and thanks to all the parents and grandparents for their support.
