👏 Well done to our 2018 girls this morning! 👏
Braving some seriously rubbish weather, the team put in a fantastic all-round performance against Berlin Swifts.

Up front, Harper, Sofia and Mollie worked their socks off. Their movement, awareness and constant pressure caused the opposition all sorts of problems, creating space and chances through great teamwork and energy.

At the back, Niamh, Phoebe and Cora were outstanding. Calm under pressure, communicating brilliantly and making key tackles and interceptions, they showed real composure and helped move the ball smoothly from defence into attack.

A special mention to Fiona, who was a real asset to the team. She stepped into multiple positions when needed, adapting superbly and supporting both defence and attack with great understanding of the game.

💙 A brilliant team performance with everyone playing their part. The girls should be incredibly proud of their effort, teamwork and positive attitude.

🌟 Player of the Week: Sofia 🌟

Fantastic awareness, great communication and always finding space for her teammates. Well deserved! ⚽️

From Friday night matches under the floodlights to early Saturday morning kick-offs, and rounding it all off with Sunday fixtures for our girls’ teams — it’s been non-stop action across the academy!

Across our 2010–2020 age groups we saw plenty of goals, top-class saves, big celebrations and, most importantly, lots of smiles. 🔴⚪️⚽️

A huge thank you to all the parents, families and supporters who come out week after week to back our players — your support makes a massive difference.

Thanks also to our academy sponsors for their continued backing, and to our fantastic coaches who work tirelessly to encourage, develop and inspire our players at every session and matchday.

Proud of everyone involved. 👏🙌

Crewe 2014/15 Girls vs Hillsborough 2013/14

A fantastic game of football today against a very impressive Hillsborough side at a wet and miserable Laurelhill.

The game started slowly with our girls finding it difficult to get their foot on the ball early on and coming under some pressure. Credit to the defence who stood strong, with Cadhla Ros in goals pulling off some excellent saves to deny Hillsborough any early rewards.

Once settled, the Crewe girls began to play some of the best football we’ve seen from them this season. The ball was moved brilliantly from goalkeeper through the defence and midfield, out to our wide players who caused the opposition all sorts of problems. Despite creating several good chances, we just couldn’t quite find our shooting boots.

Level at half time, the message was simple – keep doing what you’re doing. The attitude, effort and quality of football on display was a joy to watch, both for the coaches and the parents on the sidelines.

The second half followed the same pattern, with Crewe continuing to dominate possession and territory. Unfortunately, we were caught by a sucker punch when a long ball from out wide found its way into the net. Heads never dropped though, and the girls responded brilliantly, piling the pressure onto the Hillsborough defence with wave after wave of attacks. On another day, the ball goes into the net a few times – it just wasn’t to be today.

At the final whistle there were a few disappointed faces, but those soon turned to smiles when the girls were reminded how proud we were of their performance, attitude and clear improvement. That is far more important than the scoreline and exactly what we want to see as coaches.

Outstanding performance today, girls – keep it going!

🌟 Player of the Week 🌟

This was a tough call with several strong performances. Special mention to Abbie, who was rock solid at the back and made some great forward runs. However, today’s award goes to Maddie. Every time she got on the ball she was positive, taking defenders on and creating chances for herself and her teammates. What really stood out was her willingness to track back and support the defence out of possession.

Well done Maddie – keep it up! ⚽️

🔴⚪️🔴⚪️ 2019 round up 🔴⚪️🔴⚪️

A brilliant morning down at Laurelhill for our 2019s. There was some lovely football on display, matched by plenty of smiles throughout the session. It’s fantastic to see the kids growing in confidence week by week, expressing themselves more on the ball and enjoying their football.

There were some great goals scored, topped off with fantastic celebrations that summed up the fun and enjoyment.

A big thank you to all the parents and grandparents for their continued support — it’s greatly appreciated and makes mornings like this even better. 👏⚽️

🔴⚪️ 2019 Tigers 🔴⚪️

Unfortunately, Ellis was away before this photo was taken, but he was very much part of a real Tigers team effort. Three wins, a narrow defeat, and an honourable draw against the Jets made for a strong set of results.

All four players are improving week by week. Fionn made loads of excellent runs today, Conor continues to get better at putting blocks in, and as a team we’re conceding far fewer soft goals.

Man of the Match went to Harrison A. His work rate brings the best out in everyone around him — a true team player. I genuinely lost count of the goals he scored today, well into double figures. If there were footage of a six-year-old Wayne Rooney, you’d swear it was Harrison.

Well done, Tigers 👏

⚽️ • 2014 Match Report • ⚽️

This morning the 2014 Colts took on a strong Lisburn City side at Crewe Park, and the boys started the game brilliantly, playing some really lovely football from the off.

The opening goal came after a great move through midfield, with Reuben picking out James Yarr out wide. James drove to the byline and pulled the ball back for Jasper, who smashed it into the net 💥

Crewe kept the pressure on and were rewarded again after excellent pressing forced a clearance. Cailean intercepted, found Reuben, who switched it wide to James. His ball into the box caused problems and a deflection off a Lisburn defender saw the ball hit the net, just as Ronan was ready to slot it home.

More sustained pressure led to a throw-in high up the pitch. Bobby took it, won the header back himself and, instead of letting it go out… decided to hit it goalwards (cross maybe? 😜) straight into the top corner. 3–0 at half-time 👏

The message at the break was simple: same effort, same intensity.

The second half was more of a battle. Lisburn made a goalkeeper change and he was excellent, pulling off a number of big saves. They did pull one back to make it 3–1, but the boys responded well. The ball broke to James on the right-hand side and he smashed a superb strike from distance high into the net. 4–1 🔥

A really good team performance today. The spine of the team was outstanding:
• Kye solid at centre-back
• Cailean & Reuben excellent in midfield
• Ronan & Daniel working tirelessly up top

Special mentions to Jasper, back to his very best—taking players on, making great decisions and getting into brilliant positions. James was relentless down the wing creating chances, while Bobby and Conan were solid defensively throughout.

A great game of football all round. Keep working hard and we give ourselves every chance of winning the league 💪⚽️

🌟 Player of the Match 🌟

Today’s Player of the Match was Reuben 🏆

Playing in midfield, Reuben was outstanding—breaking up play brilliantly, linking the game with clever passes into his teammates and showing great energy by covering the pitch from box to box. His work rate and attitude really stood out.

It was great to see his efforts recognised by teammates and others on the sidelines, with a few even suggesting he might need to play outfield a bit more often 😂 … we’ll see!

Brilliant performance, well deserved. Well done Reuben! 👏💪⚽️

2017 Man of the Match 👏

For the Colts, it was too close to call so the team decided to split it — well done to John and Tom 🙌 A tough decision and thoroughly deserved by both. Great effort all round from the boys.

For the Jets, Carter takes the honours 💪 One very happy lad who ran his socks off from start to finish. Brilliant performance!

🔴⚪️ 2018 Team News - *Sat 30th - 11am- Brook* (Vapours)

Frankie
Luca
Ruairí
Jamie
Zachary

The boys scored of bucket of load of goals today.

Ruairì started off in nets and pulled off a few cracking saves. When he came out, he had his scoring boots on.

Frankie played a more defensive role today covering up and starting the attacks.

Luca, was non stop and I lost count how many goals he scored, well done buddy.

Zachary also performed really well in goals but was always a goal threat when playing up front.

Jamie was player of match, mature performance and doing a lot of 'ugly' work, defending, breaking up play and scored a few good goals too.

Well done boys and thanks as always for the support

🔴 2016 Juniors🔴

The boys were back in league action today with a match vs Annalong. A fantastic performance from Crewes Juniors. An absolute pleasure to coach this team with the boys always giving their best on the pitch.

James again was super reliable in nets, pulling off some vital saves and playing out well from goal kicks

Benjamin, Lorcan and Conall didn’t put a foot wrong the whole game in defence.

Noah, Kealan, Adam and Darragh controlled the midfield really well with Kealan Scoring a great goal on the volley from just outside the box 👌🏻⚽️

Owen was a menace up top and never stopped working

Roy Kennedy Fuels Motm - Conall! Having spells in defence and midfield he was nothing short of 1st class no matter where he played 👏🏻🔥

Good luck to Annalong for the rest of the season 🤝 great game
