🔴⚪ 2015 Girls Match Report🔴⚪
2015 v St Malachy's 2013
Lisburn League
Back to league action for the girls today as they faced St Mals today at The Bluebell.
As the game started the girls lined up with Zara covering for us in goals with Roise, LK in defence, Captain Meghan, Maddie and Izzy all operating across midfield with Talia leading the line up front, with Bella, Isla and Laila making up the squad for today's game.
The girls started very brightly playing some lovely football and showcasing everything that they work on during training with Meghan in particular showing her super ball mastery skills in getting the team up field and creating numerous early chances for Maddie, Talia and Izzy to try and turn into goals - however early on the St Mals GK kept making save, after save to deny the team an early lead.
Zara showed super concentration levels throughout the first half, for the most part she had little to do, but when called into action was able to help her teammates when protecting the backline, Roise, LK, Bella and Isla all defended pretty well and looked super comfortable when dealing with any St Mals attack, with Roise and Isla even sampling different positions throughout the game. All four girls defended superbly and played some lovely football out from the back which allowed our flair players Izzy, Maddie, Laila and Talia to run at the St Mals team at will.
The first half was a very commanding half with a dominate football performance which was capped off by Meghan winning the ball high up the field and the ball found it's way to Talia to tapped in from close range, this goal then sparked the team into higher gears with Laila making some rampaging runs and playing a lovely ball to Maddie who smashed one into the bottom corner.
As the second half started the girls started a little sluggish and were often slow to react which allowed St Mals to deny Zara and our defence from recording another clean sheet, but this goal was a gentle reminder to the team that the game wasn't over and with some stunning passages of football and off the ball running Maddie was able to square the ball across the oppositions box which somehow ended up in the net (Maddie is claiming the goal, who are we to argue) 😂
The girls continued to pile on the pressure but sadly couldn't add to the goal tally with St Mals GK, denying a certain goal with a save on the line that on another occasion could have been awarded as a goal.
Overall today again showed the girls that winning games at this level is something that they just love doing and now that's 5 league wins on the bounce - some going for a bunch of 9 & 10 year olds lol 😂
Today's POTM, Meghan
Meghan especially in the first half was exceptional probably one of her best games in a Crewe shirt, today the skill, effort and determination showed by Meghan was an example to everyone on the field, led her team well and was able to help in attack and defence and her passing was top notch (shooting practice needed) 😂😂 but great overall performance.
Well done girls.

Crewe 2015s v Hillsborough 2015s
The 2015 girls delivered a brilliant all-round performance this weekend, coming away with a well-earned 8–3 win full of energy and teamwork.
Izzy was in goals for the 1st half during this half she made several important saves—including a brilliant penalty save that fired up the team. For the 2nd half Talia stepped into goal and handled the responsibility well, showing great adaptability and skill.
At the back, Áine, Lydia, Kianna, and Abbie worked together with focus and determination. Lydia contributed going forward with a clever assist, while Abbie played selflessly, covering both attacking and defensive roles.
Midfielders Aoife J, Eloise, and Aoife G controlled the game with great awareness and passing. Aoife G showed calmness and confidence to tuck away a well-taken penalty, and interestingly, both penalties in the match—hers and the one Izzy saved—were very similar in nature, making the save even more impressive.
Goals came from Abbie, Aoife G, Izzy, and Talia, with every player contributing to a strong team effort.
These girls showed everything we have been covering in training and this performance was another step forward in their development. Well played, all!
POTM was a tough one to decide, but with her composure in nets, keeping calm during penalty to make an outstanding save, as well being tough and showing great skill and a goal, went to Izzy. Congratulations!

Crewe v Newhill
An early kick off in the sunshine for our 2014 girls today against a Newhill team who were determined not to give us an easy game.
We started the game with alot of possession but found it tough to find a breakthrough on a tight pitch as Newhill worked hard to close down the spaces. Every time we did manage to get through the Newhill goalkeeper was in fine form and produced some top saves to keep us out.
At the back we were very dominant with Bella Isla and LK in control and sniffed out any attacks from the opposition and started our attacks with their confident passes out from the back.
Into the second half our midfield started to find a bit more space and Amirah and Meghan working hard in the middle to release Maddie, Aoife, Izzy and Lexie who were now causing the Newhill defence some problems. But again any half chances created were well saved by the goalkeeper. It was starting to look like it was going to be one of those days until Laila broke through, beating 2 players and powering a shot into the bottom corner. This just spurred the girls on as they continued to create chances with Laila again finding the back of the net.
A hard fought win and the girls can be very proud of their will to keep fighting and find the way through a fierce defence.
Our player of the week this week was Laila who was the difference today with her two goals. But also her desire to win the ball back and defend from the front. Great to see her back playing her best football again.
Well done girls ⚽🔴⚪
A hard fought entertaining game today against a good Hillsborough Boys Jets side. The boys worked hard from the first minute and we couldn’t have asked anymore from them.
Joseph was super in nets. He made some brilliant saves and his handling was very good. His kicking was very good from goal kicks and out of his hands and he always seemed to find a team mate in space.
Adan, Rossa and Reuben did really well in defence. They were first to every ball and made some important tackles. They read the game very well, took their touch when they had time and always tried to play forward to their team mates.
Ciarán, Jace and Mark did really well in midfield. They closed the ball down well and didn’t shy away from the physical side of the game. They played some nice football at times and Mark scored a lovely goal after he sprinted free and slotted it past the keeper.
Kealan and Rhys did brilliant in midfield and up front. They never stopped working, constantly put their man under pressure and drove the team forward with some good counter attacks. Both were unlucky not to score as the Hillsborough keeper was on fine form.
MOTM today was Kealan. He never stopped running today with and without the ball. He was a menace to the opposition with his pace and created good chances. He was unlucky not to score after he dribbled past the defence and then hit the post.
Great game from our 2017 Colts against Rosario
Our boys started on the front foot and took a deserved lead via a rocket from Cole. Noah was superb in nets saving everything that came at him in the first half!
Cole grabbed a second in the second half, another peach of a strike from distance and near got a hat trick, hitting the post.
Some great team moves near ended with further goals but good goalkeeping from the opposition corner made some great saves from Rueben, Tom and Angus.
We pressed the opposition strongly, i in nets and good distribution set us on the front foot.
Player of the match was Cole. 2 great goals capped off an all round strong performance
Match report: Crewe 2017s v Shankhill Juniors - Sat 12 April - Fonacab league
A perfect morning for football and another focused performance from this young team.
We spoke before the match about using our skills but then releasing the ball if a friend is in a good position, and was Jack excellent at that today. Louie loved picking the ball up deep and building attacks, clinching a few goals as well; Lucia made some amazing saves and handled the ball so confidently in nets, and of course was silky outfield too; Caleb continued his goal-scoring run and showed lightening speed; and Matthew was a midfield maestro who scored a long-range beauty!
Player of the Week was a close-call as always but went to Theo for perhaps his most ‘complete’ performance in a Crewe shirt! He treated us to some ace turns and scored some lovely goals, but was also brilliant in his tackling and defensive work. Well done Theo and team! 🔴⚪️⚽️
We had 6 superstars on show at the Falls park yesterday - Jessica, Sadie, Toby, Sofia, Frankie and Eva Rose.
We were up against a very competitive and physical Celtic boys side. Toby gave Crewe boys and girls the lead after just 30 seconds and Jessica doubled it soon after, with great determination to get the ball over the line.
The kids were fantastic in possession, stringing together several passes before creating goal scoring opportunities for themselves.
Celtic boys fought back and took the lead, but Toby scored a beauty in the last kick of the game to earn a hard fought draw.
Sadie as ever, was incredible in defence. She worked hard to win the ball back all game and find a pass to her team mates.
Eva Rose played different positions and was excellent at them all. She also won most of her tackles.
Sofia got stuck in and listened to the coaches' instructions of taking a touch before playing a pass.
Frankie and Toby worked their socks off up front, closing down Celtic Boys in their own half and Frankie was unlucky not to bag a few goals.
Jessica was unbelievable in midfield. Not only did she work hard, but showed skill and fair on the ball and created lots of chances.
Player of the match is always a tough call, but this week it was impossible to split. We went with Jessica and Toby for the ball control, and resilience. I would say that this is the best the team have played over the last few weeks. Well done to all the kids 👏
Our Babymentals session in full flow
Is there anything better than seeing our youngest Crewe baby ballers having fun and playing some football with a smile on their face.
Many thanks to Anto and the lads at Bee Active
