🔴⚽️2016 Boys⚽️🔴
The 2016 Crewe Jets got their first match of the new league underway with a magnificent performance against Hillsborough Tigers.
The boys were first to every breaking ball and showed great composure throughout the first half with fantastic passing. Great work on the wings by Ronan M and Callum, threading through passes for the lethal boots of striker Theo to score the first two goals of the match.
Charlie and Rossa showed great defensive positioning, out in front to win possession, passing out well to start many of our attacks. Cassius was back to his best, driving forward through the centre with the ball, supported by Ronan N, leading to a smartly taken third goal for Theo.
Ronan A came on with a great work rate and ability to skip past challenges. Some dazzling footwork on show from both Ronan A and Ronan N both unlucky not to score in the first half.
Shane was a handful in centre midfield, a bundle of energy, going close to scoring and keeping pressure up front.
Rowan, helping in nets, made some smart saves and passed out well. A free kick and thumping volley by Hillsborough had the Jets pegged back to 3-2 by halftime.
Shane volunteered in nets second half, and he was commanding as usual. He loves a long boot up the pitch, and he managed an assist for Theo, controlling the ball brilliantly before unleasing a thunderous volley into the top of the net.
A mix-up in midfield led to a cruel OG from Crewe before the Jets really took off!
Charlie nearly cracked the crossbar in half, Rowan hit the post and after superb persistence Callum scored a peach of a strike, followed by a hard worked goal for Cassius and Ronan A also sniffed out a goal (two in two matches for him!).
The use of space, passing quickly, and moving up the pitch with confidence was unreal! Rowan, Rossa, Ronan M, Ronan N showed great teamwork and skill to finish on a high.
We're delighted to see the boys get back to their best and applaud an all-around super team effort.
Player of the Match goes to 5 goal striker Theo. Apart from the impressive numbers, his control, turning, and decision making were a joy to watch, well done Theo! 👏⚽⚽️⚽⚽️⚽🔥
Thanks to our Jets parents for their support and Hillsborough Tigers for a fair and fun game.
Great to see the 2019s back after the mid-term break. All four teams worked their socks off and played with smiles on their faces throughout. We had some high scoring games with lots of different players getting on the score sheet, along with a massive goal-line clearance celebrated like a goal ⚽️ .
The improvements are clear each week and the confidence on the ball keeps growing. Really proud of the attitude and teamwork on display.
⚽️🔴⚪️ Crewe United Juniors 2015s vs Oxford Sunnyside Colts 🔴⚪️
Another trip to Knockramer Park this morning for our Lisburn Castlereagh Junior League fixture — and what a turnaround from last week’s Halloween horror show!
The boys put in a super Saturday performance right from the first whistle. Cillian S tested their keeper early, but Oxford struck first with a deflected effort from their first shot on target.
That only fired our lads up — and within five minutes Jacob had banged in two worldies inside a minute to flip the game on its head. From there, we never looked back. Luke T was bossing midfield, winning more headers than VVD! Michael curled in a sensational free kick, and just before half-time, Ryan smartly picked out Luke G on the edge of the box — who smashed home into the top corner to extend our lead.
At the break, Lewis replaced the injured Padraig in nets and pulled off some great saves. Ryan then grabbed a well-taken goal, and Jacob completed his hat-trick in style. Cillian B dominated midfield and deservedly got on the scoresheet too. Luke T continued to shine, and Culann provided a hat-trick of assists. Terry joined the fun with a beautiful strike from outside the box.
Late on, Padraig made a 10-minute cameo outfield and coolly slotted home his first ever league goal! 👏🏻 Lakes had a strong game at the back and even pushed up to right wing in search of a goal to round things off.
A brilliant all-round performance from the team — exactly the response the coaches wanted.
🏅 Joint Players of the Match: Luke T & Jacob — well deserved, lads! 🙌🏻

⚽️🔴Crewe 2015 Colts vs Warrenpoint Town 2015 Colts⚽️🔴
The colts have had a great start to the season earning their place in the Supplementary Shield Semi-finals.
The Semi final draw would have us face a strong Warrenpoint Town Colts side who had previously beaten us in the first game of the season.
The first half the colts started strongly on top, pressing with the ball and moving it quick to create chances which Warrenpoint defended well.
The hard work paid off, to get the break through with the colts first goal coming from good build up play, leading to a corner. A nice ball in at the front post by James F met Matthew’s right foot, who shot first time to give us the lead.
The boys confidence grew further more into the game, which lead to a 2nd goal. A great ball in by Oscar over the defence, met by Oliver who controlled brillantly, to then score in the bottom corner taking it to a 2 nil lead.
The boys battled well, as Warrenpoint created more chances, which Joshua done brilliantly, making some cracking saves! Before half-time, Warrenpoint pulled a goal back.
Into the 2nd half we asked the boys to give everything to stay on top, which they did! More chances fell to us to add more goals, but to be denied by good defending.
Warrenpoint pressed for the equaliser, with Joshua making some cracking saves to deny, but also the disciplined Colts defence in front of him.
A fantastic performance from the boys; the work rate and drive from every player in the team was excellent! A well earned result.
⭐️ POTM goes to Joshua in nets, who gave a brilliant performance with important saves throughout the game!
A great win for the Colts, who now progress to the final against Lisdrum Youth Colts!

An action packed match this morning for the Crewe colts! An absolutely fantastic effort from the boys 💪🏻👏🏻
1st half we couldn’t get the ball past the Rosario goalkeeper who was on fire. Some super passes to get our shots off. But we took our foot off the pedal and Rosario came at us with some brilliant play and we went into the break 1-0 down
2nd half was much the same. Both teams playing with lots of hunger to win. Crewe broke down the wing and with a great cross in Coe was there to bang it in to draw us level 1-1! Crewe had the wind in their sails and it was all out attack. A super corner from Benjamin was met by Reuben who cooly Headed it in! Both teams battled hard, Joseph kept us in the game with some 1st class goalkeeping!! a brilliant contested match and Rosario got the equaliser in last moments of the game. A superb effort from both teams well done boys ⚽️👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks to Rosario for the match 🤝
Roy Kennedy fuels motm 🏆- Reuben + Jace
🔴⚽️2012 Boys Match Report⚽️🔴
Thought the boys were unlucky last night to be on the wrong end of the result. We Probably where the better team, created the better chances just couldn’t finish them. In the end a couple of mistakes cost us and a few questionable decisions by the referee.
Michael and I were pleased with how the boys handled the game, as a team they showed great maturity and calmness in which it was a night of strange decisions from the referee.
We continued to play our football and had castlewellan on the back foot for most of the game with our keeper Jack having very little to do.
That’s 5-6 good performances on the bounce for us as a team, the boys are showing good consistency and playing well at the moment, keep up the hard work boys.💪💪💪
MOTM was Hayden smith, strong in midfield, involved in everything going forward, constantly pushing the boys on. I could tell from the start he was up for the match, great all round play he covered every inch of the pitch, unlucky not to score with a cracking shot in the first half. Well done Hayden more like yourself👏👏👏💪💪
🔴⚽️2012 Match Report🔴⚽️
Well done this morning boys, nice win against a good Lisburn Rangers side who are second in the league. Never really looked troubled today, thought the boys managed the game really well and apart from a few mistakes from us, not staying switched on, was really the only time we were put under any pressure.
Again good game management from the boys, the football in the second half was class, Tyler, Ethan, James and Riley was causing all sorts of problems for the Lisburn Rangers defence with there movement and runs in behind. Troy and Hayden looked after the midfield and the boys at back tidied everything up, good to have our keeper Jack back with a couple of saves.
MOTM today was Riley, always willing to make that run, works hard in closing down, his passing was good, knows when to give and when to go, scores goals and sets goals up. Great start to the season Riley keep up the hard work another well deserved MOTM 👏👏👏💪💪💪
⚽️ Match Report ⚽️
Wow, what a game of football we all just witnessed at lisburn leisureplex. Best game of youth football I've ever witnessed and been part of says me, the referee and all 3 ashgrove coaches. By full time there was at least 200 people round the pitch watching that show both teams put on and it was just heartbreaking that 1 team had to lose.
What a start to the game by our lads, who all looked extremely sharp in the warm up! Mason played a lovely weighted pass through their defence and the ruthless Leo curled it in to put us 1 up. We were ontop with Carter and caolan running rings round their defenders linking up fantastically with Leo. Caolan crossed a lovely ball in from a corner which Joel smashed in to put us 2 nil up. The battles all over the pitch were unreal, isaac james and Bobby in defence were like bulls, Joel and mason were running the midfield and Conan was getting alot of joy on the left wing when he came on. Ashgrove scored a screamer from distance to get a goal back then scored a good free kick right at half time to make it 2-2.
The lads jogged it in for halftime to regroup and refocus, we were the far better team 1st half and needed to bring this into the 2nd half. The passion and desire to do well for eachother and back eachother up runs through the blood of all these lads! We got back out for the 2nd half but just couldn't really get going again, we were backs against the wall with a bit of nerves flowing through the team, ashgrove went 3-2 up and were creating countless chances. A great pass from big jamesy sent Leo through 1 on 1 and there's only one outcome when this scenario happens, 3-3!!!
We were still struggle to get control of the game again as we had put so much energy and effort in, ashgrove scored another 2 goals soon after to put them 5-3 up. Now any other group of lads would have dropped their heads and gave up after this set back in the game, but not this group of players!! Carter had a scary look in his eyes like a vampire looking for blood, isaac played a lovely pass into Carter as he skint 2 players on the line right beside me and scored a screamer from right wing, giving our lads a massive boost. There was unbelievable battles all over the pitch, everyone of our lads fighting hard for eachother putting their bodies on the line, end to end entertainment as dandan was tested a few times, tackles were all clean and tidy all over the pitch and both teams cancelling eachother out. A very fast quick thinking throw from mason found caolan who skint a player went 1 on 1 and smashed it into the bottom corner to make it 5-5 and send our sideline crazy! By this stage there was massive crowds watching on, both teams battled on in great spirit and sportsmanship. Referee informed there was 1 minute left when ashgrove got a corner in the last 10 seconds, right on the blow of fulltime as the wind carried the ball in slow motion high over all our lads and landing right in the back side netting to send ashgrove into the final with the last kick of the game. A heartbreaking end for crewe 2014s. Fantastic sportsmanship at the end as both teams high fived and gathered for a photo after putting on one of the best games of football most of us have witnessed at that age. After a quick chat our lads quickly realised they should be holding their heads up high and be extremely proud of themselves. This unit of boys are going from strength to strength and this game will be one of the best learning curves they will have in the footballing development. Thank use for being absolute superstars boys and thank you parents for the unbelievable encouragement and support from the sidelines 💪🏼
