Happy Mother’s Day from Crewe United Academy 🌸
Today we celebrate all the incredible mums, grandmothers, carers and mother figures who give so much of themselves every day. 💐 From the early morning lifts to matches, washing muddy kits and cheering from the sidelines — your support means everything to our young players and to our club.
We also take a moment to think of those who find Mother’s Day difficult, especially anyone who has lost their mum or a special mother figure. Please know you are in our thoughts today. 🤍
From everyone at Crewe United Academy, thank you for everything you do for your children and for our football community.

Friday night and Saturday morning football completed and we had a mixed bag of results, but the most important thing the coaches saw across all the games was real development 👏
It was great to see so many of the things the players have been working on in training — passing, movement, tackling and teamwork — being put into practice on the pitch ⚽️💪
Win, lose or draw, the focus is always on learning, improving and enjoying the game, and this weekend there was plenty of that on display from our players.
Here’s a quick snapshot of our teams 🔴⚪️

🔴⚪️ 2019 Tigers 🔴⚪️
Tigers had a mixed day results wise but no faulting the effort . Daithi and Harper added great skills and scored lots of goals ; Caolton works so hard from start to finish and makes great tackles chasing back every week now.
After his good defensive work last week Conor now understands the importance of stopping the other team from scoring .
Toss up for player of the match but Daithi just shard it today .
Good teamwork and playing while having fun - well done Tigers .
⚽ Match Report: 2018 Team News Vapours
Kick-off: 12:00 PM
Atmosphere: Focused & Competitive
The Vapours took to the pitch today with a fantastic attitude, ready for a challenging afternoon of football.
While the overall scorelines may not have gone our way, the work rate and development on display were top-tier.
Player Highlights
Cormac & Jamie: A powerhouse duo today. Both players battled relentlessly across the midfield and defense. Their defensive skills were sharp, and they were brilliant at transitioning play up the pitch—rewarded by a well-earned goal for Cormac.
Dáire: Showed great versatility today. He fought hard to keep the pressure on up front with clinical skills and tackles, then stepped up between the posts with some solid goalkeeping. His hard work was topped off with a great goal.
Kylan: A high-energy performance from start to finish. Kylan used his footwork and skill to drive the team forward but was never afraid to track back and help the defense. A true team player.
Zachary: An all-around stellar performance. Zachary showed great confidence in his tackling and ball-handling, and he put in a very impressive shift in goals.
⭐ Player of the Match: Lucas
Lucas takes home the POTM honors this week. His skills and tactical awareness are growing stronger every single game. He showed zero fear in challenges, won back possession consistently, and created several high-quality scoring chances. Fantastic job, Lucas!
Well done Vapours 👏
⚽️ 2014 Colts Match Report ⚽️
Our 2014 Colts faced last week’s cup semi-final opponents again at a sunny Leisureplex this morning. The boys started brightly with Ronan causing all sorts of problems for the Warrenpoint defence early on.
The game was very end-to-end, with both teams battling hard. In midfield Reuben, Cailean and Zach worked tirelessly trying to drive the ball forward and create chances. At the back Bobby, Kye and Alfie gave everything, but unfortunately Warrenpoint managed to take their only two chances of the half to go in front.
At half-time we shuffled things around a little, moving Reuben into defence with Cailean shielding in front and Zach pushing higher up the pitch. The change worked well, with Reuben sweeping up everything at the back and allowing us to push forward more confidently.
Some lovely link-up play between Ronan and Zach created a number of chances, and in a very physical game we were unlucky not to score from two free kicks that were cleared off the line. James, Daniel, Yousef and Jasper were all getting stuck in down both sides of the pitch, showing great determination.
Warrenpoint managed to score again with their only chance of the second half, but the boys never stopped pushing and kept searching for the goal their effort deserved. Dandan didn’t have a lot to do today but was excellent when called upon.
Unfortunately it wasn’t to be today, but the effort, work rate and attitude from the lads made us very proud. The result will come.
🌟 Player of the Match 🌟
Reuben takes the award today — and his smile says it all! He has become a really important outfield player for the Colts. Versatile and hard-working, he breaks up play brilliantly. Today he put his head to everything that came his way, was strong in the tackle, and was unlucky not to score with a header from a corner.
Well done Reuben 👏🏆
Onto the next one 💪🔴⚪️⚽️
