Last weekend we had two Boys and two Girls teams graced cup finals in the Lisburn Juvenile League. With another two trophies making their way to Crewe Park it was a great weekend for the Academy and also great experience for all the Boys and Girls who gave their all in the matches.
Crewe 2015 Junior Boys tasted success against Glendowan Colts in the LCJL Shield Final. It was a tremendously hard-fought victory and the boys showed incredible courage and determination to defend a 1–0 first-half lead right to the final whistle and lift the trophy.

Crewe 2015 Colts Boys were also in action up against Lisdrum Youth in their LCJL Shield Final
The boys showed great spirit and determinaton throughout the game. 1st half was end to end, despite going 2 goals down the boys kept their heads up. After conceding another goal we bounced back and scored with 15 mins to go. The boys battled and gave their all, though it wasnt to be on the day.

A huge well done to both boys teams.

The Crewe 2015/16 Girls came out victors against Camlough Rovers in the Lisburn League Shield Final.
Our girls kept knocking at the door in the early stages and when they were awarded a free kick about 30 yards away from the Camlough goal, up stepped the ever reliable Izzy who hit an absolute rocket into the top corner to take the lead.
Camlough came out all guns blazing and in the second half and had the majority of the ball early on. The equaliser eventually came and it was very much deserved, this led to a frantic finish with the girls holding on to a draw and bringing the game to Penalties.
This is where the real drama started with the 5 brave girls volunteering to hit one of the dreaded pens and as it turned out each of the five were called upon with the girls coming out 3-2 winners and getting their hands on the winners shield with Skipper Aíne, lifting the girls their first ever Lisburn League trophy for the Crewe United girls youth teams.

Our 2013/14 Girls also were in final action as they took on a strong Newcastle side.
The girls battled hard and showed great determination without the outcome they wanted as Newcastle to the Shield home with a 2-0 victory in what was a very tight game.

Well done to both Girls team who will take away great memories and experience from the games.
