Crewe booked their place in the Mid Ulster League Premier Cup Final in January as a late strike from Kevin McGuinness broke Richhill hearts to send the home support into raptures.
It was a tough match against a strong Richhill side, and things looked more difficult for Crewe when striker Jonny Doyle limped off with an ankle injury early in the game. It was a game of little chances and it always looked like one goal would win the tie.
And it duly came one minute into injury time as a super ball from new signing Ciaran Caldwell picked out young McGuinness who duly obliged with a lovely finish into the bottom corner after out-pacing the visitors defence.
It sealed a place in the final which will be against Banbridge Rangers on the 10th January 2025 at Iveagh Park, Rathfriland with an 8pm kick off. It will be a first final appearance in 7 years for Crewe and we hope a big crowd will turn out again in what will be a great occasion for the club.
