Crewe will face Strabane AFC in the NIFL Promotion play-off after the Co. Tyrone men overcame St. James Swifts 2-1 in the title decider in the Ballymena Premier Intermediate League.
It is the 2nd year in a row the Champions of the Mid Ulster League will take on the Champions of the Ballymena league, with Oxford Sunnyside beating Strabane last year. Crewe will be making their first appearance in the play-off and with the previous experience in the locker, Strabane will go into the two legged games as favourites.
However, Crewe have had a superb season and were unbeaten in their last 6 games of the season as they fought all the way to win the league title and complete a double for the season having won the Premier Cup back in January. No doubt manager Scott Bingham will have the Crewe side prepared for both ties in what will hopefully be a good advert for both leagues, and indeed both clubs.
The first game takes place on Tuesday 27th at Crewe with a 7.45pm kick off. The tickets for this game are onsale here and the game is ticket only for ease of access to the ground and avoid the need for cash payments. The away tie will be played on Saturday 31st May at the Melvin Sports Arena in Strabane with a 3pm kick off.
We wish the lads well and all the club is behind them #itsalwaysredndwhite
