It was very much a ‘good news’ week at Crewe as preparations continue for the new season.
The club are absolutely delighted to confirm that Christopher Leckey has been appointed as our new Reserve team manager.
Chris comes with fantastic experience having previously managed St. James’s Swifts Reserves and Development teams achieving great success with those squads.
Crewe have applied to the MUFL for entry to the Reserve Championship for the incoming season after 3 successive promotions and winning the Reserve Division 1 title just a few weeks ago.
Chris has also confirmed his brother Gerard as Assistant Manager and he also is no stranger to Crewe Park as Gerard currently looks after our 2015 girls squad.
We wish Chris and Gerard every success with the Reserves and we are very excited to be working with them both.
Also announced this week was our new 2 year kit supplier deal with Pro:Direct Clubhouse. It has been superb to link up with Johnny Clayton-Alsop from Pro:Direct and we look forward to a mutually successful partnership in the years to come.
Johnny flew over from England and turned out in goals for our Charity Legends game last night against Ford FC and a great evening was had by all and great to see some old Crewe Park faces again.
